Tips

Here are some tips to make your laundry hanging experience a success.

Tips:

Hanging Rules:

Hang shirts and tops by the hem

Hang pants and skirts by the waist

Hang sheets and linens taking the corners and pining them on over two lines to form an upside down parachute. This will allow the wind to 'tumble' the linens and make them soft.

Clothes Pegs: Keep pegs inside to keep them clean when not in use. They can stain your clothes otherwise.

Fabric Softener:

Try using plain white vinegar. The vinegar and wind will soften your clothes, too.
Vinegar also removes mold and bad smells in clothes.

What to do... :
when my clothes are rough/stiff: Dry towels etc. on the line till almost dry. To fluff them up put them in the dryer for 10+ minutes. Also, hanging your clothes in a windy area, will have a natural tumble effect.

how do I prevent fading : Turn dark clothes inside out to dry.

Benefits:
Disinfecting: Sunlight naturally disinfects your clothes !

Bleach:

Hang whites in the sun to get that crisp white look. Hang stained garments in the sun, it will bleach out the stains.

Life of Clothes: You will see a definite change in the life expectancy of your clothes. Especially socks and underwear.
